Whether you are a specialist in fetal medicine or a versatile generalist, this role offers a stable Monday to Friday schedule within a supportive NHS environment.

The Role at a Glance

– Location: Lewisham (Excellent transport links across London).
– Post Title: Band 7 Sonographer.
– Department: Ultrasound / Medical Imaging.
– Start Date: ASAP (Don’t wait, the clinical team is ready for you!).
– End Date: 10/07/2026
– Working Schedule: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (No weekends!).
– Clinical Requirements: Must be proficient in both Obstetric and Non-obstetric ultrasound (General, Gynae, and Small Parts).

What You’ll Be Doing

– Providing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound scans for a wide range of clinical indications.
– Independently performing and reporting on obstetric scans (including dating, anomaly, and growth).
– Conducting non-obstetric examinations, ensuring accurate diagnosis and timely reporting.
– Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team in Lewisham to maintain the highest standards of patient care.
– Utilizing advanced ultrasound technology to support clinical decision-making.

Requirements & Qualifications

– HCPC Registration (or equivalent professional body).
– Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip) or Certificate (PgCert) in Medical Ultrasound.
– Proven experience working at a Band 6 or 7 level within an NHS setting.
– Competency in reporting both obstetric and general ultrasound scans.
– Right to work in the UK.
