District Nurse (GZW005)

Evolve Staffing Ltd is currently recruiting for experienced District Nurse (Band 5) for an exciting 6 month placement in Bridgnorth. This role is ideal for healthcare professionals seeking a block booking with a consistent 7 days a week rota and flexible shift patterns to suit your lifestyle.

As a District Nurse, you will be at the forefront of delivering essential clinical care to patients in their own homes across the Shropshire area, ensuring high-quality, autonomous practice within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Shift Patterns & Flexibility

We offer a variety of shift options between 08:00 and 18:00, including:

• – 4 Long Days: 08:00 – 18:00

• – 5 Shorter Days: 08:00 – 16:00 / 08:30 – 16:30 / 10:00 – 18:00

Key Clinical Responsibilities

Candidates must possess a robust community clinical skill set, including:

• – Complex Wound Management: Proficiency in Doppler assessments and compression therapy.

• – General Nursing Care: Management of simple wound care and routine dressings.

• – End of Life (Palliative) Care: Providing compassionate and dignified care for patients in their final stages of life.

• – Medication Administration: Safe handling and administration of prescribed medications in a home setting.

• – Catheterisation: Skilled in Male, Female, and Suprapubic catheterisation.

• – Bowel Care: Experience in digital rectal examination and manual evacuation where required.

Requirements & Qualifications

• – NMC Registration: Valid Registered General Nurse (RGN) pin.

• – Experience: Minimum 6-12 months experience in a District Nursing environment.

• – Driving: Must have a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for community visits.

• – Skills: Competency in the clinical skills listed above (Wound care, Catheterisation, etc.).

• – Compliance: Up-to-date DBS, Mandatory Training, and Right to Work in the UK.
