Speech and Language Therapist (GZW031)
Are you an HCPC-registered Speech and Language Therapist seeking a Full Time role in Huntingdon? Evolve Staffing Ltd. has an immediate opening for a Band 6 SaLT to join the Adult SLT Team. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional ready to manage a diverse community caseload and provide high-level clinical intervention.
Key Clinical Responsibilities: As a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist, you will deliver expert care to adults with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties. Your duties will include:

– Comprehensive assessment of patients with progressive neurological conditions and traumatic brain injuries.

– Designing and implementing treatment plans for voice disorders and respiratory-related communication issues.

– Managing complex swallowing difficulties (dysphagia) where the cause is yet to be determined (unknown aetiology).

– Providing vital support to community hospitals and care homes to ensure patient safety and rehabilitation.
Operational Impact:
- – You will be a key player in the Adult SLT Team, helping to clear waiting lists
- – Ensure that patients with long waits are seen urgently
- – The role involves travel across Huntingdon, visiting patients in their own homes and clinical settings
- – You will also be expected to supervise junior staff and clinical assistants, ensuring high standards of care across the board
Requirements:
- – Proven experience at Band 5 or Band 6 level in an adult setting.

– Specialist knowledge in Dysphagia management.

– Enhanced DBS on the update service (preferred).
