Evolve Staffing Ltd. is currently recruiting for an experienced and highly motivated Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) to join a dynamic Adult SLT Team in Peterborough. This is a Full Time, ongoing contract designed for a clinician who specializes in adult services and is looking for a role that offers clinical variety and professional growth.

Detailed Job Description & Clinical Duties: In this role, you will be responsible for the specialist assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of adult patients presenting with a wide range of communication, swallowing, and voice difficulties. You will manage a complex caseload that includes:

Neurological Conditions: Providing rehabilitative support for patients with Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and progressive conditions such as Parkinson’s or MND.
Dementia & Care: Working with elderly patients in care homes and community hospitals to improve quality of life and safety.
Dysphagia Management: Assessing and managing swallowing difficulties of unknown aetiology, ensuring safe oral intake and respiratory health.
Voice & Respiratory: Treating patients with specialized voice disorders and respiratory conditions.

Why This Role? This position is critical in supporting the local trust to address and reduce waiting lists, particularly for patients who have faced long delays in care. You will work across multiple settings, including clinics, community hospitals, and patients’ own homes, providing a truly holistic service. Furthermore, you will play a leadership role by delegating work to clinical assistants and mentoring newly qualified therapists (NQTs).

Requirements:

– HCPC Registration and a degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
– Strong clinical background in Adult Dysphagia and communication disorders.
– An enhanced DBS check is required for this position.
