Evolve Staffing Ltd is seeking a dedicated and resilient Registered Nurse (RGN) to join a secure healthcare team within an HMP facility in Stockton-on-Tees. Key Responsibilities
- Primary Care & Triage: Conduct clinical assessments and nurse-led clinics for residents, including reception screenings for new arrivals.
- Emergency Response: Act as a first responder to medical emergencies within the prison wings, providing urgent care as required.
- Medication Management: Safely administer medications and oversee substance misuse treatments/detoxification monitoring within a secure setting.
- Chronic Disease Management: Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with long-term conditions.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with prison officers, mental health teams, and external healthcare providers to ensure patient safety and security.
- Documentation: Maintain precise electronic health records in accordance with NMC standards and CQC requirements.
Requirements & Qualifications
- NMC Pin: Must be a Registered Adult Nurse (RGN) with a current, unrestricted registration.
- Security Clearance: Must have valid prison clearance (HMPPS/NOMS) to work within a secure estate.
- Experience: Previous experience in A&E, urgent care, or a secure environment is highly advantageous, though primary care experience is also valued.
- Resilience: Ability to remain calm and professional in a high-pressure, custodial environment.
- Compliance: Must have the right to work in the UK and undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
