Evolve Staffing Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist for a specialized part time placement within a General Adult Community Initial Response Service (IRS) based in Leyland. This role is perfect for a senior clinician looking for a flexible 20 hour work week while providing vital leadership in early intervention mental health services.

Beginning in May 2026, this three-month contract offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic Community Mental Health Team (CMHT), focusing on urgent assessments and clinical decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

– Outpatient Clinics: Lead specialist clinics for general adult patients, providing expert diagnosis and treatment plans.
– MDT Leadership: Actively participate in and lead Initial Response Service (IRS) Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings to ensure robust patient care pathways.
– Clinical Assessments: Conduct urgent psychiatric evaluations for service users entering the mental health system.
– Collaboration: Work closely with community stakeholders and healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes in Lancashire.

Requirements & Qualifications

– Section 12 Approval: Mandatory S12(2) status is required for this position.
– GMC Registration: Full registration with the General Medical Council and on the Specialist Register for Psychiatry.
– Experience: Proven experience at a Consultant level within General Adult Psychiatry or community-based crisis services.
– Skills: Strong clinical leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively within an IRS/CMHT framework. ILS is mandatory
