Evolve Staffing Ltd is looking for a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join a specialized Community CAMHS team based at Burnley, Lancashire. This is a pivotal role focusing primarily on the ADHD workstream, offering a blend of clinical leadership and direct patient care within a multidisciplinary environment.

This post offers excellent flexibility with a 3 to 6 months’ contract, providing a stable placement for a specialist looking to impact children and adolescent mental health services in the East Lancashire region.

Clinical Responsibilities

– Specialized ADHD Management: Leading the ADHD workstream, including diagnosis, titration, and long-term management.
– MDT Collaboration: Offering expert consultation to the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) and participating in regular clinical discussions.
– Caseload Management: Picking up new cases and managing a portion of non-ADHD clinical workloads (to be finalized during the job plan meeting).
– Urgent Care: Handling urgent clinical diagnostic work and managing prescriptions when other medical staff are unavailable.
– Legal & Statutory Duties: Conducting Medico-legal work, including Mental Health Act (MHA) assessments as required.

Requirements & Essential Criteria

– Specialist Registration: Must be on the GMC Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
– Approved Clinician (AC) Status: Essential for this role.
– Qualifications: Section 12 approval and ILS (Immediate Life Support) certification are mandatory.
– Mobility: Own transport is essential for travel within the community and various sites.
– Availability: Capability to work 8-hour days; remote working is limited to a maximum of 2 sessions per week.
